2011 - 2012 Faith Marker Calendar
Faith Markers are one way Our Savior’s remembers promises made at Baptism. It is our commitment to the partnership between parents, church and God in raising our children in the faith!
This ministry at Our Savior’s was designed for parents and children to engage in an important aspect of faith during a one-hour faith-based experience, once a year from age two through 6th grade. 
Faith Marker classes are taught by our Faith Formation team and are teaching moments for parents and children alike. They are a time to connect families with each other and with the church. Families will receive an invitation two weeks before their special class. Be sure to include Faith Markers on your family schedule; they have become a favorite for our kids. Sibling care is always available during these classes!
First Communion
 Holy Communion is one of two sacraments in the Lutheran Church. At Our Savior’s, we have empowered parents/guardians, as the primary nurturers of faith, to decide when their child is ready to receive instruction in preparation for Holy Communion. We offer a retreat for children and parents/guardians to attend so that children can receive their First Communion. Should you feel that your child is ready to receive the sacrament prior to the 1st grade an individual teaching may be arranged with our pastors.
