Current Faith Marker Calendar
Faith Markers are one way Children and Family Ministry at Our Savior’s remembers promises made at Baptism. It is our commitment to the partnership between parents, church and God in raising our children in the faith!
This ministry at Our Savior’s was designed for parents and children to engage in an important aspect of faith during a one-hour faith-based experience, once a year from age two through 6th grade. Each Faith Marker culminates with a worship celebration, to help us bear witness to the faith journey each of our children has embarked upon. 
Faith Marker classes are offered on Sunday afternoons from 4:00-5:00 p.m. or 5:00-6:00 p.m. and Monday nights from 5:30-6:30 p.m. or 6:30-7:30 p.m. culminating in Sunday or Wednesday worship with a celebration and blessing of the Faith Marker. Families have a choice of when to attend. Click the link at the top of the page and note your dates on your family calendar.
Faith Marker classes are taught by our Staff with the assistance of our Children’s Ministry Team and are used as teaching moments for parents and children alike. They are a time to connect families with each others and with the church. Families will receive an invitation two weeks before their special class. Be sure to include Faith Markers on your family schedule; they have become a favorite for our kids. Sibling care is always available during these classes!
First Communion
 Holy Communion is one of two sacraments in the Lutheran Church. At Our Savior’s, we have empowered parents, as the primary nurturers of faith, to decide when their child is ready to receive instruction in preparation for Holy Communion. Twice a year we offer a retreat for children and parents to attend so that children can receive their First Communion. Should you feel that your child is ready to receive the sacrament prior to the 1st grade an individual teaching may be arranged with our pastors.
