A church that cares only for its members is not serving Jesus! We must reach out in loving acts and generous gifts to express Christ’s compassion for all people, everywhere. That’s why Our Savior’s Lutheran Church commits more than 13% of its operating budget to assist others. These gifts are directed to a multitude of ministries and agencies, including but not limited to the following:
- St. Paul Area Synod (ELCA)
- Young Life
- Life Care Center
- St. Croix Valley Outreach
- Car Care Center
- Camp Wapogasset
- Moscow Soup Kitchen
- Salvation Army
- Lutheran Social Service
- Plymouth Youth Center
- Union Gospel Mission
- Lutheran Church in Tanzania
But our outreach is not only monetary. Our building is host to weekly to three AA meetings, the Stillwater Pony Football dinners, and countless other community gatherings. We have sent mission teams to Jamaica, New Orleans and Georgia. And, of course, we take our turn in delivering Meals on Wheels, ringing bells for the Salvation Army and hosting Summer Stretch Summer Community Youth Ministry.
