Property and Grounds

Since 1960, Our Savior’s has occupied eleven acres on Olive Street in Stillwater. The original building and two expansion projects have created a 30,000 square foot building which provides the following:

  •  A Sanctuary which seats 190
  •  The Community Life Center (seats 450 for worship, 300 for dining)
  •  A children’s gathering area/children’s library
  •  Eleven classrooms
  •  Nursery
  •  A narthex and a large gathering area
  •  Kitchen, family room, quilting room
  •  Music rehearsal room
  •  Youth room
  •  Eight offices

All of this is located on one level and the entire building is handicapped accessible.

The Sanctuary is an intimate worship space, built in 1988. Organ and piano, along with a contemporary sound system provide excellent worship accompaniment. In 2002, a grant from our Art Endowment Fund provided a new altar, pulpit and font, along with four bronze reliefs, created by Twin Cities’ artists Andrea Myklebust and Stanton Sears www.myklebust-sears.com.

The Community Life Center is a multi-purpose room that can host fellowship events and dinners, and can also provide a beautiful worship and concert space. Rear projection screens and a state of the art media system and theatre lighting offer a great gathering environment. Larger weddings and funerals can be accommodated in this space.

The Gathering Area is an important space for us. It not only provides a bright and spacious entrance on the west side of our facility, it also is abuzz with coffee and fellowship on Sunday mornings, and is an overflow seating area on those Sunday mornings when the CLC is full. The cupola is inscribed with our congregation’s purpose statement:
Grounded in faith, gathered in love, and sent with a purpose:
so that others may gain the Kingdom!

Our parking lots provide nearly 250 spaces, including 11 handicapped parking spaces, with entrances on Olive Street and Brick Street.
