Small Groups

As our congregation grows larger, the need for intimate community becomes greater, and so we have created a Small Group Ministry. A small group is a regularly scheduled gathering of three to twelve people whose chief purpose is to experience Christian community through conversations, through study relevant to daily living, through caring and support for one another, and through prayer. These groups are of various ages, topics and meeting times. Please consider joining one of our small groups.

You would be most welcomed!

Women@theEDGE
What does it mean to be "at the EDGE"? Does your faith inform your life? Or does your life inform your faith? Do you ever feel as though you are stretched to "the EDGE"? Perhaps even teetering "at the EDGE"? Women@theEDGE is a NEW learning adventure for women — designed by women for women. The concept of this new adventure involves women gathering one time per month for topical presentations and discussions helping to integrate a life of faith into everyday life.

We typically meet the first Mondays of the month at 8:00 PM. Location:  Perkins Restaurant on Hwy 36 in the back room.  Questions? Contact Pastor Linda at (651)439-5704 or linda@oslcstillwater.org.

Walk & Talk
Enjoy walking and talking? Sue Hedlund will continue to lead the "Walk & Talk" Small Group on Mondays from 5:30 - 6:30 PM. We meet at the Stillwater high school and walk outside as weather permits then we move inside if need be. The group is open and anyone can begin at any time; however, it is helpful for someone to let Sue know when they are coming for the first time. Please contact Sue during the day at (651) 430-6662 or at home (651) 430-3900. The Small Group starts the session with a short devotion, then we go on a walk and discuss questions related to the devotion, and we close with prayer. We are actually walking for about 45-50 minutes. Any walking pace is welcome! We have been averaging about 6 women each night but we can easily handle more. It's a very fun and supportive group!

Supreme Being Book Club
We are a group of moms with children aged 5 to 30 who gather over coffee to discuss non-fiction books. We’ve read about prayer, faith, health, mental health, heaven and more. We meet at the Supreme Bean coffee shop, 402 Main Street in Stillwater, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 9:30 – 11:00 am. Please contact Candis Braatz at candisbraatz@yahoo.com or (612)414-3698 or Cindy Beck at (651)439-6578.
